Greetings from Pumice Creek Lodge. I'm Gary LaRose.

LaRose Guide Service began as my father's business in 1967 in the Talkeetna Mountains, later increasing in range to the Alaska Peninsula, Kodiak, and the Wrangell Mountains. My father has retired and sold the Kodiak lodge but still spends time on the Alaska Peninsula in the summer and fall. Now, all our hunting and fishing takes place on the Alaska Peninsula in southwestern Alaska.

I am a lifelong Alaskan. I grew up in my father's guide business, became a full partner in 1988, and now make my full-time living as owner, operator, and guide.

I have been a member of the Alaska Professional Hunters since 1988 and have served on the board of directors since 1994. I am currently the organization's treasurer. I am also a member of SCI and FNAWS.
I have been a licensed pilot since 1972 and an aircraft owner since 1974. My ratings are single and multi engine commercial pilot instrument. I also have an Aircraft and Power Plant mechanic's license. We fly a lot every season, and we do it very, very safely. Our aircraft provide the gateway to some of the most beautiful, most remote places in the world, and your safety in the air is our focus.

While in main camp you will enjoy warm, comfortable accommodations and meals. Our meals and desserts have been compared to the cuisine at the finest hotels.

Nice to meet you!
I want to thank you and your staff for hooking me up with Larose Guide Service for my moose hunt.  This trip was everything I had hoped for, and as an added bonus, it included results.  The excitement began the first morning with my guide calling in a beautiful 63" bull...
